Cardiff

Cardiff is located between Encinitas and Solana Beach in San Diego County, California. It is a beach community and part of Encinitas. It is a scenic area with many properties with gorgeous ocean views.

Cardiff Reef is one of the most famous surf spots in Cardiff. This spot is also referred to as ‘The Reef’ and garners plenty of professional and amateur surfers year round because of the tide. In the 1950s, The Reef was filled with a few surfers here and there and it’s now one of the premiere surf spots in all of San Diego County. Cardiff Reef and nearby surf spot, Pipes, are famous for their smooth and consistent wave shape.

Locals and tourists alike enjoy this charming, beautiful, friendly beach town with quaint shops, delicious cuisine, and arts community, yoga studios, ocean sports, parks, a walkable downtown area complete with a linear organic community park and plenty of biking opportunities.  Cardiff-by-the-Sea thrives year-round and it’s not unusual to find people sunbathing on the beach in January.
